We've been designing and developing websites for over twelve years, seen just about every trend and ridden the storm.
Back in 1997, we created a directory called Dellarte for all the performers we knew. After adding many profiles, we started building full websites for some of those listed. In 2002, we built a website for a friend who'd just graduated from drama school. From there, the idea grew but as usual the practicalities of how the service would operate came into play.
Fast forward to 2007, plenty has changed on the internet - just look at MySpace and Facebook. Our passion for performance was rejuvinated as many people started using the internet socially and here we are.
We've spent two years planning Performers Lounge and just over three months building it. It's almost fully featured and finally allows affordable websites for performers to become widely available.
Our mission
Consider it a thank you from people who appreciate all your hard work. We want to give something back.
Where's the catch?
It's too cheap, is it a con?
Web technologies have changed over the last five years, what we can offer now could never have been done before.
Plus we really want every performer to have a website (and we'd really like to see you not paying £400+ for a website). How can you afford that on Equity minimum?!
Hopefully we are pricing it at a point where you don't have to decide if it's worth it!
